Is eating whole fat dairy products good for us? (Part 2)

The researchers have concluded that: "In this large, multinational, prospective cohort study involving participants from 21 countries in 5 continents, we found inverse associations between total dairy consumption and mortality or major cardiovascular disease events. The risk of stroke was markedly lower with higher consumption of dairy.

No association was found between higher dairy consumption and myocardial infarction. Overall, butter intake was low and was not significantly associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease or mortality. Our findings support that consumption of dairy products might be beneficial for mortality and cardiovascular disease, especially in low-income and middle-income countries where dairy consumption is much lower than in North America and Europe."

So the current dietary guidelines should be changed to eating 2-4 servings of full-fat dairy products, not the low-fat as it is at the moment.

So my recommendation is that we should eat more full-fat dairy products, especially yoghurt. I wonder if this also holds true in preventing the risk of cancer, especially breast cancer.
Yaaay for dairy products.

Maybe this is why my grandma lived so long, she loved her milk, kefir and yoghurt products, she had them for dinner almost every night, despite the large goitre that she had (see the previous post about thyroid nodules, the image of the large goitre is in my grandma's neck).
